Industry Resources
At Agie Charmilles, we believe that our responsibility goes beyond developing, manufacturing and marketing leading-edge EDM products. We're also committed to the future of the tooling and machining industry - making sure that the employees and shop owners of tomorrow have the tools and the training they need to get ahead today.
Agie Charmilles provides EDM to appropriate centers, colleges and training institutions at cost, or on special rental terms. We also support numerous industry organizations.

Canadian Tooling & Machining Association (CTMA)
The Canadian Tooling & Machining Association (CTMA) was established in 1963 by combining various trade associations to produce one strong organization to represent the "Tooling Industry".
The term "Tooling Industry" includes designing manufacturing - repairing or assembling for the purpose of selling tools, dies, moulds, jigs, fixtures, gauges, machinery, machining systems, robotics, automation equipment, models, patterns, general jobbing machine shop products and cutting tools. Restricting membership to manufacturers and industry suppliers as associate members has assured that the Association will always be devoted to Canadian manufacturing in the tooling and machining sectors.

International Special Tooling and Machining Association (ISTMA)
The International Special Tooling & Machining Association (ISTMA) is an international association representing 24 special tooling and machining associations throughout the world. Collectively, ISTMA member associations represent over 8,000 companies and over $40 billion U.S. dollars in annual sales. ISTMA World is in charge of the central coordination and organization of all international activities. United under this roof are the following regional sections:
ISTMA Americas
ISTMA Asia / FADMA
ISTMA Europe
For over twenty-five years, a firm partnership for stamping tools, die and mould making, precision machining, and special machines has evolved. Be it a toolmaker in Tokyo, a mould maker in Barcelona, a machinist in Canada, or a special machine builder in the United States, the industry associations, member companies, and employees benefit from ISTMA membership.

National Tooling & Manufacturing Association (NTMA)
Agie Charmilles donates the Grand Prize (valued at approximately $100,000) to the shop whose apprentice wins NTMA's technical Apprentice Contest.
We developed NTMA's Training Summit study which lays out the strategy for attracting America's youth to the metalworking industry.
We have helped NTMA develop and produce many informational, training and promotional materials - videos, posters, brochures, magazine inserts, a hiring survey and more.
"Charmilles has been a long time, very active partner in supporting and promoting our industry. NTMA is a stronger and more vital organization as a result of Charmilles' participation."
-Matt Coffey
President and CEO, NTMA

Tooling & Manufacturing Association (TMA)
Agie Charmilles makes its Lincolnshire Demonstration Center available each year to this Park Ridge, Illinois-based organization for several series of training courses for apprentices and other toolmakers.
"The Demonstration Center is an ideal place for people to learn more about tooling and machining in general, and EDM in particular. We're extremely fortunate to have a friend as committed to the future as Charmilles."
-Bruce Baker
Executive Vice President, TMA
